About the Author
Marcus Pfister was born Bern, Switzerland. After graduating from the Art School of Bern in graphic design, he worked as an apprentice in an agency and then became self-employed in 1984.
North South published his first picture book, The Sleepy Owl in 1986. But, it was six years later that The Rainbow Fish became his breakthrough. Marcus has illustrated more than 65 books to date. These books have been translated into over 60 languages and won a variety of international awards. He lives in Bern with his wife Debora and their children
