As he approached us, we were greeted by him; he stated: “I have come speedily to tell you about The Night of Power, but I did not know which night it was as I came to you. Thus, you should seek it out in the ten last evenings.” Al-Adab Al-Mufrad with Full Commentary by Adil Salahi
Narrated by ‘Ubada bin Assamit, The Prophet was sent out to inform us of Qadr Night. On the night of Qadr, two Muslims were arguing between themselves.
The Prophet then said, “I came out to inform you about the Night of Qadr, but such-and-such people were fighting, and the news of it was omitted, but it is beneficial for you, and so you should look in the night of Qadr on 29th,27th, and the 25th (of Ramadan). Summary:
The hadith cited by Ibn Abbas above tells us that Prophet Muhammad is speeding towards his companions and is pleased to share news of The Night of Power. Still, in the excitement and his divine intervention, he’s caused to forget the date. He advises his members to search for it during the final ten nights of Ramadan.
Sahih al-Bukhari 2023 (Book 32, Hadith 10) also suggests staying away from other distractions at night and searching for it during the rare night.
It is the Night of Power, or Laylat al-Qadr, and it is called so because it’s a night of profound importance and spiritual blessings. The core focus of the Night is the publication of the first verses from the Holy Book that came through the heavens to Prophet Muhammad for the benefit of all humanity.
The Quran helps us to acknowledge our Creator. It’s a complete guideline and code of conduct for humanity towards righteous behavior and a morally upright lifestyle. It emphasizes the importance of obedience to Allah and performing good acts, including compassion, justice, kindness, and compassion towards others.

The night is described in the Qur’an as superior to a thousand months, and those who believe in it are advised to dedicate this night, or a substantial part of the time, engaged in adoration to prayer, prayer, worship of God, and recitation as well as comprehension of Qur’an.
Despite this night’s significance, the Prophet did not give the exact date. However, he did instruct his followers to look for it during the last 10 nights of Ramadan.
This Night is about gaining insights into The Quran and connecting to the Creator of our universe.
The Quran also focuses on night’s significance, known as the Night of Power. Surah Al-Qadr (The Power) describes the night as over a thousand years old ( Quran, 97:3).
Muslims are urged to engage in prayer, worship, and Quran recitation in these evenings to earn the enormous rewards and blessings associated with letting the glow of the Quran into our hearts.
