WHAT IS THE MAIN MESSAGE FROM THE QUR’AN
Noble Definition– Although the Qur’an covers many subjects, according to Said Nursi (a noted scholar), , it only has four main themes.
- The unity of God’s attributes and God’s unity
- The concept of Prophethood and stories about Prophets
- The afterlife: Descriptions of Heaven, Hell and Judgment day
- Social regulations and justice: Rituals of worship, customs, and regulations governing economic and social life.
Contrary to popular belief, the Qur’an does not include the last category. The majority of the Qur’an explains the fundamental beliefs and places them within the larger context of God’s attributes as well as the mission of human beings here on Earth.
One of the many messages that the Qur’an contains is the following: Human beings were created to serve and know the One True God. They are also tested throughout their lives. They will go to Heaven or Hell depending on what they do in this life.
