In this Blog We will learn about Surah Al Lail Transliteration. Surah Al Lail (Arabic text: الليل) is the 92nd chapter of the Holy Qur’an. Surah Al Lail titled in English means “The Night”. Surah Al Lail consists of 21 verses only.

About this Surah:

This Surah Al Lail was one of the first ten to be revealed to Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). The Surah Al Lail contrasts two types of The people, First the charitable and the Second miserly, and it describes each of their characteristics. Surah Al Lail distinguishes between two different ways of life and shows us their ultimate end. Surah Al Lail gives us a simple blueprint for a life of ease and success.

Here is Surah Al-Lail (Surah 92) in Arabic along with its transliteration:

Ayah No.	Arabic Text	Transliteration
1	وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ	Wa al-layli itha yaghsha
2	وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ	Wa an-nahari itha tajalla
3	وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنثَىٰ	Wa ma khalaqa adh-dhakara wal-untha
4	إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ	Inna sa’yakum lashatta
5	فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَاتَّقَىٰ	Fa-amma man a‘ta wa attaqa
6	وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ	Wa saddaqa bil-husna
7	فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ	Fa sanu-yassiruhu lil-yusra
8	وَأَمَّا مَنْ بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنَىٰ	Wa amma man bakhila wastaghna
9	وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ	Wa kadhdhab bil-husna
10	فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ	Fa sanu-yassiruhu lil-usra
11	وَمَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُ مَالُهُ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰ	Wa ma yughni ‘anhu maluhu itha taradda
12	إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ	Inna ‘alayna lal-huda
13	وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْآخِرَةَ وَالْأُولَىٰ	Wa inna lana lal-akhirata wal-ula
14	فَأَنْذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ	Fa andhartukum naran talazza
15	لَا يَصْلَاهَا إِلَّا الْأَشْقَى	La yaslahaa illa al-ashqa
16	الَّذِي كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ	Alladhi kadhdhaba wa tawalla
17	وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الْأَتْقَىٰ	Wasayujannabuha al-atqa
18	الَّذِي يُؤْتِي مَالَهُ يَتَزَكَّىٰ	Alladhi yu’tee malahu yatazakka
19	وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ تُجْزَىٰ	Wa ma li ahadin ‘indahu min ni’matin tujza
20	إِلَّا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ الْأَعْلَىٰ	Illa ibtighaa’a wajhi rabbihi al-a’la
21	وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ	Wa lasawfa yarda
