Surah Al Ala Transliteration (Arabic text: الأعلى) is the 87th chapter of the Holy Qur’an. The surah titled in English means “The Most High”. Surah Al Ala consists of 19 verses only.

Ayat No. | Arabic Text | Transliteration |
1 | سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ | Sab-bihisma rabbika al-A’la |
2 | ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ | Alladhi khalaqa fasawwaa |
3 | وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ | Wa alladhi qaddara fahadaa |
4 | وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ | Wa alladhi akhraja al-mar’aa |
5 | فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَاءًۭ أَحْوَىٰ | Faja’alahu ghuthaa’an ahwaa |
6 | سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰ | Sanaqri’uka falaa tansa |
7 | إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ | Illaa ma shaa’ Allahu; innahu ya’lamu aljahra wama yakhfaa |
8 | وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ | Wa yusiruka lilyusraa |
9 | فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ | Fadhakkir in naf’atidhikraa |
10 | سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ | Sayadhakkaru man yakhshaa |
11 | وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَىٰ | Wayatajanabuhaa al-ashqaa |
12 | ٱلَّذِى يُصْلَىٰ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ | Alladhi yuslaa al-naara al-kubraa |
13 | ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَا | Thumma laa yamootu feehaa walaa yahyaa |
14 | قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ | Qad aflaha man tazzakaa |
15 | وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ | Wadhakara isma rabbihi fasallaa |
16 | بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَاةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا | Bal tuthiruna al-hayata al-dunya |
17 | وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَبْقَىٰ | Wal-akhiratu khayrun wa abqaa |
18 | إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ | Inna haadhaa lafee al-suhufi al-ooolaa |
19 | صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ | Suhufi Ibraheema wa Moosaa |
