EDUCATION SYSTEM IN UAE (United Arab Emirates) Primary education (UAE)
Primary education is compulsory from the age of 5 by the Ministry of Education in the UAE (United Arab Emirates). American curriculum runs from Kindergarten (5 years) to Grade 8 (14 years). British curriculum runs from Year 1 (4–5 years) to Year 9 (14 years). International Baccalaureate Primary Years 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 Programme is for ages 3–12.
Secondary Education (UAE)
Dear Users, most of the secondary schools in UAE require students to take standardized tests such as Advanced Placement, SAT, GAT, IB Diploma, IGCSE, GCE Advanced level or CBSE etc. Other options education PEARSON BTEC level 2 Diplomas and Level 3 Extended Diplomas.
In other schools, secondary stage lasts three years. In the first-year students follow a common syllabus. In the 2nd and 3rd years, they specialize in science subject or literature (Arts Group). At the end of the secondary Level, successful students obtain the Certificate of General Secondary Education.
At Secondary level, there are the following Subjects:
- Year Ist : Islamic Studies , Arabic language, English language, history language, geography , Math, physics, chemistry, biology, geology, computer science, physical education, and family education (for girls).
- Years 2-3: Islamic education, Arabic language, Arabic Grammer, English language, mathematics, physical education, and family education (for girls). These are the basic subjects. In addition, Subtraction, students can choose to join either the science group or the literary group, and have to study these additional subjects: history, geography, sociology, and economics; physics, chemistry, biology, and geology in the science section.
- Year 3: there is an increase in the number of subjects taught in the secondary Level in each of the two streams. Literary-Group students are taught philosophical subjects, logic, and psychology instead of sociology and economics.
