Wanda Gag
Wanda Gag (1893-1946), best known for Millions of Cats, was a pioneer in children’s book writing and integration of text and illustration. She was born in New Ulm (Minnesota) and rose to international fame. She was posthumously honored with the 1958 Lewis Carroll Shelf Award to Millions of Cats and 1977 Kerlan Award to her body of work.
