What is the meaning of Hamdullah?
Hamdala or hamdulilah is the short form of Arabic word Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah is a powerful Arabic language word which translates to mean “All praise to be Allah Almighty ”. As a Muslim, reciting this word is an basic part of our Islam (Deen); both the Holy Quran and Sunnah of Prophet (saws) teach us to say and use this word in daily life.
Whenever we pray Namaz we begin with the recitation of “Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen” (الحمد لله رب العالمين ) which is the beginning of Al Fatiha سورة الفاتحة the Opener and means [All] praise is [due] to Allah Almighty, Lord of the worlds and the Lord The Day of Judgment.
ALHAMDULILLAH IN ARABIC:
In Arabic Alhamdulillah is ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ . The word Alhamdulillah is made of three parts: al, the second Part of “the”. hamdu, and the Last part consist of “praise” li-llah.
