Dear Students, Hadith have been called “the backbone” of Islamic civilization and Traditions, and within that religion the authority of hadith as a source for Islamic laws and moral guidance ranks second only to that of the The Holy Quran Majeed. Scriptural authority for hadith comes from the Quran Pak which enjoins Muslims to emulate The Messenger of Allah and obey his judgments.
Dear Students, while a lot of verses of the pertaining to law in the Quran Majeed is relatively few, hadith Shareef give direction on everything from details of religious obligations (Ghusl or Wudu, ablutions for salat prayer, Fasting and Eid Prayers) to the correct forms of salutations and the importance of benevolence to slaves. So that “great bulk” of the rules of Islamic Sharia or Islamic Rules are derived from hadith, rather than the Quran Pak.
Meaning of the Hadith:
Dear Students, the word hadith means something new or words from the Messenger of the Allah Peace Be Upon Him. The religious meaning of hadith is an Authentic statement, action or approval attributed to the Messenger of the Allah, Although, hadith can be divided into three categories:
- First: A statement of the Prophet
- Second: An action of the Prophet
- Third: The Prophet’s approval of an action done by other than him
What is significant about this Quran Majeed?
Dear Students, this is the British Library’s oldest dated manuscript of al-Sahih Al Bukhari’s hadith collection. In the margin in a different hand are indicated the traditions found in Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj’s version, as well as those in a collection known as al-Muwatta’ by Imam Malik ibn Anas (711–795), in both cases noting where there are differences from al-Bukahri’s Hadith collection.
History of Hadith:
Dear Students, After Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him died, All Muslim scholars wrote down stories about what he had said, wrote and done. They also wrote down Actual facts about who told each story. Dear Students, some of the stories were retold again and again times before they were written down, and some stories did not agree in every detail resulting in the detailed study of hadith Shareef by scholars to compare between those hadith.
Muslim scholars collected all of these Hadith in pdf books and compared them to each other. They decided which Hadith were most likely to be true records of the Sunnah, that is, the words and actions of the messenger of Allah Peace Be Upon Him. Muslims see the Sunnah as an important source of guidance, along with the Holy Qur’an Majeed. Islam is the perfect religion so nothing could be changed about it. It gives a complete code of life.

Conclusion:
In this article, I set out to demonstrate two Very important points that establish the absolute necessity of ḥadīth in Islam.
First, without the context provided by ḥadīth literature, the Qur’ān itself loses all meaning. Previous attempts to understand the Qur’ān completely stripped of the context provided by ḥadīth literature have been unsuccessful because they always resorted to ḥadīth, even if a few.
This is because the Qur’ān, by its nature, was intended to be read within the context in which it was revealed and is closely bound to the life of the Prophet Peace Be Upon Him While some people Only claim to follow only the Holy Qurʾān Pak and Ignore the Hadith, the Qurʾān’s nature is such that it requires the reader to consult with the Sunnah.
Second, the authority of the Prophet Peace Be Upon Him and the obligation to follow him were not invented by Muslim scholars. Rather, the Qur’ān makes it unequivocally clear that there were two forms of revelation: the Qur’ān and the Sunnah. It also establishes the role of the Prophet Peace Be Upon Him as a teacher, legislator and expounder on the Qur’ān.
