In the Name of Allah: Exploring The Divine Invocation and Its Significance

In the Name of Allah, Most Kind, Most Merciful. is  an  Aayah  (verse)  of  the  Noble بسم الله

Qur’an.

You will see that each surah of the Qur’an, except Surah Nine,  begins with

Allah•s Messenger  said that we must start any good  work  with JJ1. If  we do,  Allah  will  increase the good in that work, and bless it.

We  must  say  il1 ,before  making  wudhu,  before drinking   water,   upon   opening   the   door   of   our house,   upon  closing  it,   before  we  sleep,  before sitting or standing, before putting on our clothes or shoes,  upon leaving our house, and upon getting in the car or on the bus.

We should also say بسم الله before   we   start   eating, drinking , but if we forget to say بسم الله it at the  beginning,   then  we must say  “_ بسم الله

when we remember. In short,  we must  make a habit of saying Jl1  before we start doing things. Saying BisMillah has great virtues. سْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

The opening statement of the Quran that also occurs at the start of 113 of the 114 suras of the Quran is:

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious and Most Merciful.

This powerful statement of بسم الله in the Quran, and is confirmed by the Quran. In Sura 27:

Additionally, we see that Aramaic, and Arabic are all Semitic languages. If we translate بسم الله to any of the Semitic languages, it will be pronounced roughly the same in each of all these languages.
