Sex in Ramadan – Intercourse during the day in The Holy Ramadan is haram for men and women both, who are obliged to fast during the day. Doing that is a sin for which kaffarah must be offered.
Expiation For having Sex in Ramadan
The kaffarah is to free a slave; if that is not possible for that then the person must fast for two coming months; whoever is not able to do that must feed sixty poor or needy people.
Abu Hurayrah said: Whilst we were sitting with the Prophet (PBUH), a man came to him and said, “O Messenger of Allah, I am doomed!” He said, “What happened?” He said, “I had intercourse with my wife when I was fasting.” The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “Are you able to free a single slave?” He said, “No.” Then, He said, “Are you able to fast for two consecutive months?” He said, “No.” The Messenger of Allah said, “Can you feed sixty poor or Needy persons?” He said, “No.” Then the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) remained silent for a while, and whilst we were like that, a large vessel of dates was brought to the Prophet (PBUH) said, “Where is the one who was asking?” He said, “Here I am.” He said, “Take these and give them in charity.” The man said, “Is there anyone poorer than me, O Messenger of Allah? For there is no household between the two harrahs that is poorer than my household.” The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) smiled and he said, “Feed it to your family.” (Narrated by al-Bukhari, 1834, 1835; Muslim, 1111)
Intercourse during the night in Ramadan

Allah says:
During fasting nights, it is permitted for you to have sexual intimacy with your wives. These laws made you and your wife Libas which means both personal space and intimate relationship for each other.. Allah accepted your repentance since He knows about your former deception of yourselves. Have intercourse with these women and pursue children according to Allah’s command The Book of Allah commands believers to keep their fasting until it becomes clear to them that the white thread of dawn shows itself apart from the dark thread of night [al-Baqarah 2:187].
This verse clearly states that it is permissible to eat, drink and have intercourse during the nights of Ramadan until The Fajr.
It becomes obligatory to complete ghusl after intercourse before you can perform Fajr salah.
