Oliver Jeffers
Oliver Jeffers is a Northern Irish artist, designer, illustrator, and writer.
Oliver Jeffers’ practice includes figurative painting and collage, installation, illustration, and award-winning picture-books.
His unique paintings were exhibited in many cities, including London’s National Portrait Gallery and New York’s Brooklyn Museum.
HarperCollins UK, Penguin USA, and The Incredible Book Eating Boy are his picture books. They have been translated into more than 36 languages including The Incredible Book Eating Boy and The Moose Belongs To Me, the #1 New York Times Bestseller and The Day The Crayons Quit.
Oliver was awarded an Emmy for his collaboration with Mac Premo, artist and filmmaker. He has illustrated a variety of novels and created art for Newsweek. Jeffers was the official illustration for World Book Day 2007.
Studio AKA in London made Lost and Found Oliver’s first animated book. It screened on Christmas Eve 2008, on Channel 4 in the UK and Nickelodeon in America.
Jeffers was the illustrator of the U2 vinyl cover, a drawing by Nelson Mandela. Jeffers, along with Mac Premo, also directed the video for U2’s “Ordinary Love”.
