Eid al Fitr 2025: What’s Different This Year? Eid al-Fitr is a special occasion or event for Muslim all around of the world and is a time for celebration with family, Friends and The loved ones. Eid ul Fitr marks the end of the month of The Holy Ramadan, a period of month-long fasting 30 days for Muslims around the world wide, and the start of Shawwal, the 10^th month in the Islamic (Hijri) calendar.

When is Eid al-Fitr 2025?

Eid ul-Fitr is expected to take place on Sunday 30^th March 2025 or Monday 31^st March 2025, depending on the sighting of the moon in the Islamic Calendar.

How many days is Eid al Fitr 2025?

Eid ul-Fitr lasts for one day, and is expected to take place on Sunday 30th March 2025 or Monday 31st March 2025, following the sighting of the moon in the Hijri calendar. In the Islamic calendar, Eid al-Fitr takes place on the first day of Shawwal. This is the day in which Eid prayers take place, and it is forbidden to fast.

Sunnah of Eid Prayer

A person should follow the teachings of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH for every aspect of life. The same should also be applied to Eid Prayer. Following are some of the Sunnah of Prophet (S.A.W.) with regards to Eid prayer:

Take a bath or perform Wazoo before going for Eid prayer
Use a toothbrush or Miswaak that day
Wear your Good clothes on Eid day
Apply perfume, Khushboo
Eat an odd number of dates before leaving for the Eid prayer . (Sahih Bukhari: 953)
Must paid Zakat Al-Fitr before offering Eid Prayer
Recite the following ‘Takbeerat’ while going to Eid Prayer:

اَللهُ أَكْبَرُ ، اَللهُ أَكْبَرُ، اَللهُ أَكْبَرُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ ، وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ، اَللهُ أَكْبَرُ، وَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْدُ

Allaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, Allahu akbar laa ilaaha ill-Allaah, wa Allaahu akbar, Allaah akbar, wa Lillaah il-hamd
