Dua for A Bad Dream– Say This & Relax! Dreams that disturb a person and keep him awake come from the evils and Shaytan. In common, the dreams that people see are either good dream and bad dreams. Good dreams come from Allah Almighty and Bad Dreams comes from the evils and Shaytan

What to do when you have a bad dream

The Prophet (PBUH) showed us a strategy to handle dreams that force a person to awaken disturbed. The steps are to spit dryly toward your left side followed by seeking protection from Allah against the Shaytan after changing your resting position. One may also choose to perform two prostrations.

Abu Qatadah said: “According to the Prophet (PBUH) both good dreams and bad dreams comes from Allah Almighty and the devil, Shaytan respectively. Through the Prophet’s words he stated “If any one of you sees a bad dream which makes him afraid, he should spit dryly into the left direction while seeking Allah’s protection for its evil forces and this will protect him from its harm.” (al-Bukhari, 3118; Muslim, 2261).

Dua For Bad Dream

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا حَلَّ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَحْلَى فِي النَّهَار

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil that happened during the night and from the evil that occurs during the day.

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ هَذِهِ الرُّؤْيَا

Transliteration:

A‘oodhu billaahi minash-shaytaani ar-rajeem wa min sharri haadhihir-ru’yā

Urdu Translation:

میں اللہ کی پناہ مانگتا ہوں شیطان مردود سےاور اس خواب کے شر سے۔

last Two Verses Of Surah Baqarah In Arabic And English

The Prophet (PBUH) said,

Dua for A Bad Dream “If one recites the last two verses of Surat al-Baqarah at night, it is sufficient for him .” Sahih al-Bukhari 5040

Conclusion

Allah provides us with good dreams which represent his small presents to humanity. While good dreams derive from Allah Almighty and Bad Dreams comes from the devil.

In addition to our guidance about dream interpretation the Prophet (PBUH) instructed us specifically to spit to your left before making a request for help from Allah Almighty.

The belief demands a specific prayer for protection. Scary dreams are the worst! We need to perform these duas as a part of the process for obtaining good sleep.
