Most dream interpretation on myIslamicDream.Com is attributed to Muhammad Ibn Siren (653-729 CE). However, Ibn Siren, without a shadow of a doubt, did not write any e-book on dream interpretation.

He did, however, write a compilation of Abu Huraira’s (ra) narrations from the Prophet (pbuh) along side the evaluations of Abu Huraira (ra). This text was kept through his brother, Yahyaa Ibn Siren, because Muhammed Ibn Siren, in his later days, did now not want to hold books.

In the beneath narrations there was mention of the Prophets (pbuh), might also the peace and benefits of Allah be upon all of them; mentioning of the companions (male and lady), may Allah be pleased with them; and of course bringing up of goals.

We should be cautious to comprehend that in a few of the motives above the reference is to ‘may’, this is, seeing this type of issue in a dream ‘MAY’ suggest that ‘such and such’ became visible.

Thus as none of us have the fortune of being a Prophet, nor do we have the fortune of being within the agency of Prophet Joseph – who excelled in dream interpretation – we have to consider the subjects above with warning.

It must be referred to that after touching on a dream it should be carried out without adding some thing to it or subtracting whatever from it. If someone does this he spoils and corrupts the dream. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) has strongly prohibited all people from doing this.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, “Indeed the worst of lies is that of a person who falsely claims to have dream.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari). Also ‘Whoever claims to have dream which he did not have, may be ordered to tie barley grains collectively, which he will in no way be able to do; and if somebody snoop on some human beings’s communication which they failed to need him to listen or they attempted to keep away from him, then molten lead could be poured into his ears at the Day of Resurrection; and whosoever makes a picture (of a being with a soul) could be punished at the Day of Resurrection and (will) be ordered to put a soul in it, which he’s going to now not be able to do.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari).

His additionally stated as pronouncing that all and sundry who invents a lie linking it to him or his own father or friend, he’ll now not even smell the sweet fragrance of Jannah.

His additionally suggested as announcing: “There are three men and women whom Allah will punish severely at the Day of Qiyaamah:

  1. A character who relates a false dream, he will be made to tie a knot between two grains of barley which he will in no way be capable of do.
  2. A man who paints a photograph of animate objects; he might be made to place lifestyles into them which he’s going to never be capable of do.
  3. A man who leads a people in Saalah even as they dislike him”.

It is really helpful for someone who sees an unpleasant or worrying dream that he spits thrice on his left side as quickly as he wakes up and thereafter seek Allah’s protection from the accursed devil. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his fans used to do likewise.

THE THREE TYPES OF ISLAMIC DREAMS

Dreams are damaged into three components in line with the Sunnah:

  1. Ru’yaa – desirable visions (goals)
  2. Hulum – awful goals
  3. Dreams from one’s self

Abu Hurayrah narrated Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, “There are three sorts of desires: a righteous dream that’s glad tidings from Allah, the dream which causes unhappiness is from Shaitan, and a dream from the ramblings of the thoughts. (Sahih Muslim).

True or Good Dreams

We can see true desires are from Allah Ta’aala as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, “True desires are from Allah, and bad desires are from Shaitan.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari).

True believers are more likely to manifest to folks who are straightforward of their lives as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) stated, “Those of you with the truest dreams can be individuals who are maximum truthful in speech” (Sahih Muslim).

Good desires are also from Allah Ta’aala. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) stated, “If each person of you has a dream that he likes then it’s far from Allah. He have to thank Allah for it and narrate it to others.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari) Good deeds include humans doing Halaal (lawful) acts.

One must proportion their goals with the ones they prefer as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, “If one sees an amazing dream, permit him expect precise, and not tell it except to the ones he likes.” (Muslim) An instance of that is Yaqoob (AS) telling his son, Yusuf (AS) regarding his dream about 11 stars and the sun and the moon prostrating to him (pupils have said the eleven stars were his brothers, and the solar and the moon represented his dad and mom): “He said, “O my son! Relate no longer your vision for your brothers lest they set up a plot towards you. Verily! Satan is to man an open enemy.” (Surah Yusuf 12:five) We recognize the 1/2-brothers of Yusuf have been jealous of him to begin with so telling them the dream might probable handiest serve to boom the jealousy.

Muhammad (S) additionally instructed us, “Nothing is left of prophethood except happy tidings.” Those with him requested, “What are happy tidings?” He (S) replied, “Good dreams.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari)

Bad Dreams

As said above bad dreams are from Shaitan. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) advised us what to do upon seeing a horrific dream. “So when considered one of you sees a dream which he does not like, he should spit on his left side three instances, seek safe haven with Allah from Shaitan three times, and alternate the facet which he turned into lying (Sahih Muslim) and in every other narration in Muslim, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) instructed us if we spit 3 times and are trying to find refuge from Allah then it (the dream) will not damage them.” (Sahih Muslim).

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) additionally advised us that if we saw a horrific dream to “rise up and offer prayer.” (Sahih Muslim).

Bad Dreams Should Not Be Disclosed

Muhammad (S) stated, …If he has a dream that he dislikes, then it is from Shaitan. He ought to searching for shelter with Allah from its evil, and he SHOULD NOT MENTION IT TO ANYBODY, then it will not harm him.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari). If one does tell any person about the bad dream then there may be the danger that a few harm will pop out of it.

Dreams from One’s Self

These desires come from one’s thoughts and are neither from Allah or Shaitan.
