In this essay we will learn about can you drink coffee during Ramadan .If a fasting person needs to taste food whilst fasting , of any house wife who fear that his Husband will annoy or beat, then she can taste the Meal, there is nothing wrong with that, and it does not affect the fast so long as none of the food enters the throat of the fasting person. This applies equally to coffee, water,, Meal , liquated and other things.

The consumption of this water makes the fast makruh until it does not render the fast invalid.

Ibn ‘Abbas said:

“The practice of testing food while cooking or any other form of tasting does not represent an issue.” (Narrated by al-Bukhari in a mu’allaq report)

Imam Ahmad said:

The Imam states his desire for fasting during Ramadan prevents tasting but acknowledges that food consumption does not pose an issue if the person chooses to taste. (Al-Mughni, 4/359)

Ibn Taymiyah said in al-Fatawa al-Kubra (4/474):

“The use of taste for food evaluation is considered undesirable even without necessity because these actions do not disrupt the fasting state.”

Ibn Uthaymeen was asked in Fatawa al-Siyam (p. 356): Is the fast invalidated by tasting food?

He replied:

Your fast remains valid through tasting food as long as you avoid swallowing it under all circumstances. Nevertheless, tasting food is never recommended. The fast becomes valid even with accidental swallowing provided you do not swallow too much.

We read in Fatawa al-Lajnah al-Da’imah (10/332):

A person can taste food throughout the day for essential purposes during fasting and maintains his valid fasting status if he does not intentionally consume anything he tastes.

Simply keeping tainted food in your mouth without swallowing it is acceptable during fasting periods regardless of oral sensation persistence.

Ibn Sireen said about can you drink coffee during Ramadan: It is permissible to use a wet siwak during fasting since it does not break the fast. It was said: It has a flavor. Despite the fact that water possesses taste it remains acceptable to use for mouth rinsing purposes.
