Understanding the Levels of Prayer in Islam Exploring the Profound Dimensions of Prayer – Navigating the Spiritual Elevations within Islamic Worship”
Ibnul-Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah (rahimahullaah) said:
And mankind, with reference to their overall performance of prayer are in five levels:
The First: The level of the one who is negligent and wrongs his soul: He is the only who falls short in acting wudu (ablution) well, appearing the prayer upon its time and within its exact limits, and in pleasant its important pillars.

The Second: The person who guards his prayers upon their proper instances and inside their exact limits, fulfils their vital pillars and performs his wudu with care. However, his striving (in reaching the above) is wasted due whisperings in his prayer so he is taken away by means of thoughts and ideas.
The Third: The one who guards his prayers in the particular limits, fulfils their important pillars and strives with himself to repel the whisperings, thoughts and thoughts. He is busy struggling towards his enemy (Shaytaanor Satan) so that he does not thieve from the prayer. On account of this he is engaged in (each) prayer and jihaad.
The Fourth: The person who stands for the prayer, completes and perfects its due rights, its vital pillars, plays it within its distinctive limits and his heart will become engrossed in safeguarding its rights and specific limits, in order that nothing is wasted from it. His complete situation is directed toward its established order, its completion and its perfection, as it ought to be. His coronary heart is immersed within the prayer and in enslavement to his Lord the Exalted.

The Fifth: The one who stands for the prayer like the one cited above. However, on pinnacle of this, he has taken and positioned his coronary heart in front of his Lord Azzawajall, looking toward Him together with his coronary heart with anticipation, (his coronary heart) full of His love and His might, as if he sees and witnesses Allah . The whisperings, thoughts and ideas have vanished and the coverings which are between him and his Lord are raised. What is among this character and others with admire to the prayer, is advanced and more than what is between the heavens and the earth. This man or woman is busy along with his Lord Azzawajall, extremely joyful with Him.

The First type might be punished, the second kind will be held to account, the third can have his sins and shortcomings expiated, the fourth can be rewarded and the fifth could be near his Lord, due to the fact he will acquire the part of the one who makes his prayer the pleasure and pleasure of his eye.
Whoever makes his prayer, the satisfaction and pleasure of his eye, can have the nearness to his Lord Azzawajall made the delight and satisfaction of his eye in the hereafter.
He may also be made a delight to the attention in this global considering whoever makes Allah the delight of his eye on this international, each other eye turns into overjoyed and thrilled with him.
