The adoption process in Islam
There are both permitted and forbidden types of adoptions in Islam.
The law does not permit adopting the infant as an integral member of the family right from birth, but still falling under the regulations for children.
“…nor do they contain adoption sons that are yours as their actual children …” [al-Ahzab 33:4].
