Treasury – The Treasure of Virtues is a collection of sermons, or statements along with the doctrines of ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib (d. 40/661) who was the cousin and son of the Prophet Muhammad, who became the initial Shia Imam and Fourth Sunni Caliph.
A renowned master of Arabic language, and a master of Islamic wisdom, Ali was renowned by his capability to communicate in a way that was graceful. His words were widely circulated as well as quoted, and in the course of time. They were extensively anthologized and taken out, and later interpret them.

From the various collections of words from Ali, the Treasure of Virtues composed by Fatimid Al-Quda’i who was a Shafi’i Judge (d. 454/1062) is possibly the largest selection of genres, and the largest range of topics.
Treasury – It comprises sermons, aphorisms proverbs, sermons, prayers, homilies or dialogues as well as poems, all of which offer suggestions on how to become righteous and upright. The collection that is shorter, One Hundred Proverbs, is believed to be the work of the famous writer al-Jahiz (d. 254/869). This is the first English version of important collection.
