Paddington Bear, a fictional character from children’s literature. His first appearance was on 13 October 1958 in A Bear Called Paddington. He has since been illustrated by Peggy Fortnum, and is featured in over twenty books by British author Michael Bond.
Paddington Brown, a friendly, spectacled bear from “darkest Peru”, is a beloved character in English children’s literature. He is known for his ingenious ways of getting into trouble but is also known for his determination to make things right. The Brown family adopted Paddington Brown, who found him in London Paddington station. His original name in bear language was too difficult for them to pronounce.
Vivendi owned the Paddington Bear franchise as of June 2016. Bond retained the publishing rights to his series. It was licensed to HarperCollins on April 2017.
Paddington books have been translated in 30 languages and sold over 30 million copies worldwide. Paddington Bear, a beloved fictional character in the UK was selected by British tunnellers to be the first item to cross the channel to France in 1994. [5] Paddington Bear was adapted for television and films, as well as appearing in commercials. Both critically acclaimed films Paddington 2 (2014) and Paddington 2 (2018) were nominated for the BAFTA Award.

Paddington had only one thing with him: a jar full of marmalade, his suitcase and his hat. Soon, the Browns discover that Paddington is an unusual bear. If Paddington is involved, ordinary things like taking a bath, traveling underground, or going to the beach can become extraordinary.

Michael Bond
Thomas Michael Bond was born dated since 13 January 1926. He is best known for his Paddington Bear books. Bond received a CBE from the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2015.
